Swap

Have a 95 c1500 and a 96 4 wheel drive. Going to swap tbi for vortec heads and intake. I know there is a lot of work involved to switch wiring and computers dash etc. wondering if I will have to swap fuel pumps and if that will match up on tank? Also will it work if I just swap heads and intake

The intake/wiring goes with the computer and the computer goes with the trans auto and std ecm are different in almost all cars some can be swapped with no issues. The std computer is usally a little hotter but i have no idea about the tbi.

That being said you should match up all the connectors to see if they are the same. One year diff can be totaly different but usally not. Best to compare the harness and see if they are the same. Wiring for a few new feature from one computer to another can usally be added in pretty easy. Just buy new pins from ebay or dealer and put them into the connector they are usally just blanked off in the main harness connector where it plugs into the computer. If that makes since.

Sorry not more help.
