is it worth puting a th350 in my 85 trans am? i have 300 hp going in it and i need to take the 700r4 out anyway. i know the swap kit is around 50$ but can i keep my orignal drive shaft?? its aluminum thats why. what kind of diffrence will this make???

as long as it's a long tail , your ok .

There are 3 different length of the t-350 trans in a 2 wheel drive design.

there are :

6 inch tail housing , a 9 inch tail , and a 12 inch tail.

The 9 inch tail housing is near identical to the 700r4 length.

Check the adapter kit for the torque arm to see how this bolts up to the car cross member .

yup my trans is a 6 in tail shaft. so im going to need a drive shaft. thanks for the link tho!!

I think Chevy vans or trucks came with the TH350 with 9" tail.

mine came out of a 79 el camino it needs seals but its ok tho. ill end up geting a drive shat. i wanted to keep the aluminum one but i can sell that to get one made up for that price

i got it, ill cut my monty carlo drive shaft to fit the 6in tail shaft.
the bracket i need to mount the tourqe arm cost 99.00$ +tax, from hurst. it mounts the stock rubber to its location on the new mount.

ill sell the old aluminum drive shft to buy the kit. every thing cones in the kit to change the trans. thanks guys.
