Buick, Olds and Pontiac have a different bolt pattern than Chevy. What transmission is in the Cutlass? Lots of 200 4R transmissions have both bolt patterns.

78-87 Olds Cutlass, Buick Regals, Chev Monte Carlos, and Pontiac Grand Prixs same the same platform. With the appropriate v8 mounts it will bolt in. I used to have a 86 Cutlass (Canadian car) with a 305 and a 200-4r.
