swapping 1951 truck body to late mod. chas
i would like to put my 5 window on a late model
chassis. i want to know what chassis make for the best swap. any info will be greatly appreciated! scotmb

Keep the stock frame and install the front x-member form a 70s Chevy 1/2ton. Gets you modern coil springs, power steering, sway bar, the works. Very easy to install - weld two 1/2" plate spacers on the sides of the frame, drill and tap 4 holes/side then bolt it in. I have a scanned article on the installation if you send me your email address, I'll send it to you.
