swapping to the 4.3L serp belt

Is it possible to install thje serpentine belt system off of a 4.3L Vortec onto an older sbc, if so what all is needed? I want to run a S-belt system but need to use yard parts (short on cash) and the V8's are hard to find in the yards I look through.

the water pump is reverce rotation. alternator may be an issue. if you buy the "complete" system off the 4.3, i don't see why it wouldn't work, if you have the room = frame rails, etc.
