Post swapping a 4150 carb out

I have a 1971 Lincoln Mark III with a Motercraft 4150 carb. What would be a good performance carb for this 460 engine?

i think thats the same as a Holley, except crappy, i.e. can't reach any of the idle adjustment screws. i would replace it with a real Holley 750 w/vac secondaries. I do know that a carter can be made to work really well on ford big blocks but you need to buy a race kit and screw around with them forever to get economy and power both and i know nothing about them.
