Swapping manual to automatic

Hey everyone! New builder here with a question. If I plan to swap my 68 Impala stock manual trans for a TCI automatic trans, is there a different transmission mount that I have to find? Or will the stock mount work for an automatic too? Any advice is appreciated.....Thanks

Dunno about the trans mount...
But when replacing to an automatic, be sure of having the right length of the yoke in front. My car had an manual yoke in the TH400, and half of its length was outside the trans, no good. There should be like an 1/2" of the yoke shaft outside the rear end of the trans. Else you could see an rear bushing wearing out quite soon. (oscillating... i think the word is)

/Pete

Nevermind....

Thanks for the replies....After reading about other people who thought of going to an automatic, I think I'm going to keep it manual. It will be way more fun and then my wife won't steal the car because she doesn't know how to drive a manual. Thanks again.
