Swapping From TBI to 4 Barrel

1989 s10 blazer with TBI originally a 4.3 but had a running 350 and 305.. just swapped distributors and thats it and it worked.

but now i want to gto from TBI to 4 Barrel CARB.

Do i just swap intakes and put the carb on and run fuel lines and thats it?

couple questions..

will the stock fuel pump keep the carb full with a regulator if i do this?

how hard to swap to old school HEI dist.?

Swapping the intakes & adding a carb is about it. You can pretty much do away with all the computer sensors at that point to. The stock fuel pump is more than capable of delivering enough fuel. A carb system only requires 6-8 psi fuel pressure whereas some of the in-tank fuel pumps on TBI systems deliver 70 psi or more. You will definately need a regulator. As far as the HEI swap, simple. Just replace the distributor and hookup the 12v source.

well i got my intake on, the 4 barrel on, and im using the old power wire that went to my external coil and thats going to my HEI dist. Now for the Fuel pump, i took the relays out, and used a switched power and jumped it to another wire that runs to my fuel take, and now when i turn my key on, the fuel pump is constantly pumping. I bought a Professional products Fuel pressure regulator with a 3'rd return bypass, and i can adjust the fuel pressure down to 7psi and also have my return hooked up... but i havent got that far yet, i got to drop my distributor in plumb my fuel system and hook the HEI up..but i just got sent out of town for a week to work.. so the excitement is comin this weekend when i get back.

But what do i do with all the sensor plugs that are left behind? just cut them out or will they unplug at the firewall? i havent taken a look yet..

my MAP sensor, Throttle Position, Vac sensor, Coolant temp sensor.. all those that are by the intake are still there.. what do i do with them?
