DO NOT heat the bar. Cold bend it. I do it all the time to sway bars I put on hot rods. I like the front sway bard from Ford Courier pickups - they are perfect for adapting to old hot rod chassis but sometimes the ends need to be tweaked to fit. I just put the bar in my trusty Harbor Freight 12 ton press and bend them to shape. Heat will ruin the bar, cold bending won't.
