The 400 cars had a different crossmember, shorter driveshaft with larger U-joints and a larger Yoke. Also had a "kickdown" switch wired to the throttle linkage for "Passing gear".

400 trans is longer, has larger output spline and uses electric switch, rather than a cable, for throttle position sensor.

I was going with the 400 th because I have about 450 hp and I thought it would be more bullet proof......i was going to get my 350 th rebuilt but my buddy offered me a 400 th..

I see well the choice is yours just keep in mind that a 350 properaly build 350 would also live fine in the situation. As for your question unless the tranny is a 375 verson of the 400 you will need to get your yoke changed. And you will need to have your drive shaft shorted and a 400 cross member which shouldn't be to hard to find. As for the electric kick down your best bet is to get a retro fit kit which I believe b&m sells as well as a few other companies
