Switching to AFR heads, is my cam ok?
Basics of my engine:
350 4 bolt, .060 over
Flat top pistons (speed pro cast)
Lunati bare bones 1001lk cam
edelbrock intake (dual plane)
Holley 750 vacuum sec
Full headers, 2.5" exhaust, flowmaster 40's
Camel back heads (about 63cc, not the 2.02's)
Jegs 2400-2700 stall
Basically my neighbor is a cool guy, he's old, retired, tired and he's giving me a set of 64cc aluminum afr heads in exchange for pulling the motor (actually he's giving me the whole motor). I know little about them. He says I have to use the intake he's got because the chambers have been opened up. The intakes are bigger than 2.02 also (I think he said around 2.10?)
I know, there is not alot to go off here, and I'm an amateur who before finding this forum, just threw parts on to see what would happen. Basically he said I should be around 10.5:1cr, and with my cam and these heads my engine should be pretty quick. What do you guys think? Should I change the cam? Will these heads be too much? BTW, I do plan to change to a 4.10 gear in the future.
What size AFR heads? They make/made a 180, 190, 195, 210, 215rr, 220, 227, 235, 245............
I wouldn't go over 195 for a street 350. If you put something bigger on that small of a motor it will want to sing to 7500rpm to make its power. What cam specs do you have right now?

It's not a huge cam, he's using a roller cam with 660 lift so there's a big diff. I'm not sure on the head size, probably 210, I remember him mentioning that. I guess they were used on a bracket racer. I can always go to a bigger cam if I have to, I just can't get above 6000 rpm because I have a stock bottom end. These heads are comming off a sbc 350 with basically the same bottom end (except he used a 2 bolt, he just never revved it over 6k).
Why in the world wouldn't you get the part number off the head, call AFR, and ask them their opinion of your combo?
A 210 will work on a high rpm 350 but not a low-end grunt motor. That cam you have is way to small to make GOOD use of those heads on 350 cubes.
