Switching over to nitrous engine........

My pal has a Fox body Mustang with a 383 Chevy engine. Drag only car. He's wanting to put a 150/250 nitrous shot on it. WHAT kind of mods do we need to do to the engine to make it happen! Already has the good AFR heads and intake a carb are well sorted. Need what??? Cam (what duration..LSA..lift)
Compression? Now has 11.5:1
Fuel system? Now has just a 7/16"(I think) with elec. pump at cell.
Ideas??!
Thanx

First thing you should do is open up the ring gap, as nitrous engines run hotter. Make sure that your fuel pump can handle the extra demand. Im assuming its a wet kit, so your pump will have more load. NOS has a guidline for how much timing to take out for each jet size... best give them a call for that

a 250 shot will take some setting up but most anything will run a 100 shot. I see them on a lot of brand new cars with low tensions rings and all.

fox body with a chevy motor should be fast already LOL.

fuel pump will need to be updated if its not already probably has already been changed.
