T-18 ratios

I just bought an '88 T-18 out of an F-150 that had 90k miles to put in my hotrod. I know it's tall and rough shifting, but I'll make it work and it was only $175..

Just wondering if anyone knew what the 1st gear ratio is. I know most are 6.32:1 but that also some are 4:1. All the info I can find stops at 1986, but I know they are common in F-150's 1987-1988, but only fully replaced in 1992.. Both are too tall for a normal start, but I'm curious.. Havn't cleaned the trans off so I dont the numbers.

According to my boss George, all the late T-18s were 6.32:1 except for the Charles Machine industrial units.
Now...a little gimmick from back then:
If you had one of these new; and you had trouble with the 2-3rd ratio split being too big, Ford would give you the 4:1 or even the 5.11:1 1st gear gearset under warranty. Your best bet is to count the teeth; although I can't imagine why you shouldn't be able to chuck it in 1st and turn the input and count the mainshaft (output) and see if you get 4, 5 or 6:1

That's what I'm going to have to do. I just put it in storage before doing that, so I'll have to wait until my next day off to count it.
