T-200 metric to T-350 swap?

hello, i'm wondering what would have to be done to swap from a th200 metric tranny to a th350. the motor is a chevy 350. not sure if i would need a new x-fer case or new drive shaft. or if would be cheaper to just get the th200 metric rebuilt? any thoughts??? thanks guys

the metric 200 and the th350 are the same length. everything will cross over but, the cable on the right side of the case, the metric 200 uses throttle pressure on that cable for shift timing and pressure, not just kick down, like the th350, the opening of the case for the cable on a metric 200 is bigger than the th350.
you mention transfer case, just what are you referring to? as the metric 200 is a 1 piece case, from bell housing to tail shaft.

im a bit of a laymen when it comes to transmissions sorry. lol but i think im gonna go with rebuilding the th200 metric. i found a "master rebuild kit" for like 85 bucks...my newer question is...is this a full rebuild kit or will i need other things...the kit includes overhaul kit, friction clutch plates & standard steel plates. my problem is that my 1-2 shift flares and slams into second and third gear will not engage....on another thread i was told to not dump money away and just rebuild it. so will i need anything no included in the kit?
thanks guys sorry to sound like a wanna be hotrodder...im learning as i go

The last Band listed is better but, it's 3/8" wider. You need a new Direct Clutch Drum to use the Wide Band, if not it will burn the outer edges of the Band. A standard width Alto Red or Carbon Band will work & be cheaper.

cool. nice to know some history. so for now im just gonna (when i get the gasket in) try new fluid and filter. when i removed the pan i found NO metal shaving, if they where there they where very very very small, but i did find a good amount of what seemed to be guck or some kinda thick slimey junk all over the pan, i cleaned the pan like new and found the magnet through the slim. not sure what this guck was but i cleaned as much as possible out. im droping the valve body to put in a shift "correction" kit that claims it will fix a few of my problems. im not worried if it dosnt fix it 100% because i didnt pay hardly anything for the correction kit, and it seems VERY simple to install. the whole kit consist of 5 springs 2 little dowls (one half the size of the other), one ring with a cut in it, looks kinda like a piston ring(i know its not just referancing what it looks like) and two little hallow washer lookin things which look like the dowls will fit into, and a set of drill bits, also comes with complete instructions...i think i can handel that lol....so it wont cost much to see if that dose the trick. cross your finger, and if anyone has used this kit, i never refuse tips heres a link to the kit lemme know if you know anything about it.
**** KIT

The Superior/Fairbanks brand Kits are good, TransGo brand also.
http://superiortransmission.com/
http://www.transgo.com/sk_generalmtrs.php

The Guuk in the Pan is probably clutch fiber material from worn Clutches/Band.
It's normal for there to be some material, a lot is usually a bad sign.
