T-350

I recently swapped the innards from a 350 six inch tail shaft into my 350 nine inch tail shaft. When I disassembled the six inch and installed it exactly how it was into my nine inch 350 I noticed that it didn't have the clutch accelerator spring on the side and it only had one check ball. Is this normal? When I first did the swap the tranny worked fine for a day then it hard shifted into second and after that now it only goes into first and reverse. Any suggestions???

Your terms confuse on part.

Clutch accelerator spring on the side?

One check ball used is common on some shift mods.

No shifting 1 - 2 -3 could be broken governor gear (plastic) , stuck governor, no vacuum to the modulator , stuck shift valves in the valve body.

Is the detent cable hooked up or removed?

Opposite side of the governor housing is a cap with a snap ring. There is a blue spring that my other 350 had. I'll check the governor and the other valves that you mentioned. Thank you for your response!
