T-350 lost forward gears. Reverse works

i just had 1 do the same thing, was driveing and went to play around a little with son so stopped on pavement shot the gas to it it popped and made a weard sound so i got out and checked but seen nothing loose so turned around headed home. tranny was acting fine would drive fine for a bit then started acting like the rear drivers side brake had came loose and was sticking would lock up for a few sec so drove easy. tranny was acting fine till i got like 1 mile from home and just lost all forward gears, when in drive like transfer case was in nutral.but put in reverse and fine so has me baffeled tranny has less then 1500 miles on it and 2nd time ive had it do this and engine is a 350 bored 40 over with biggest cam i could get has a set 882s with the smaller truck heads.also has a set of 41;10 axles. im shure the engine isnt to big for the tranny but dont understand 2 trannys close to same problem about a yr ago its a 83 gmc 1500 4x4 just baffled y going out like this

I moved your posts from the olt thread. It is best to not post your problem in another members thread. It gets confusing.

As I posted in the other thread... IF your trans backs up(reverse works), this shows a few things.

Pump is working if trans backs up.
Converter is transfering power
Input shaft is connected to drum
Direct clutch is working for reverse
Low-reverse clutch is working for reverse

Have you tested forwards gear in ALL manual shifter positions?
