T-350 trans questions.

does this trans suppose to have a tv cable? Isn't it really a passing gear? Is it suppose to be medium tight, I was told if set tight like the 700r, It won't shift into third. I know on a 700r4 ratio is full throttle ea. way, reason I am asking is seems I don't shift into 3rd, I got hose to full intake. I do have a shift kit installed if this makes a difference. I need suggestions, Also on electric speedo hookup on trans, the plastic gear on my trans shaft is green, should the gear that slides in side of trans also be green? thanks Dana (alot of questions, thanks)

I've only done 1 350 and it has a tv cable but wether you use it or not should still shift into 3rd. The colrs don't have to match. You need to know the rear axel ratio, tire cercumference and some other math is done to figure which driven gear is needed for the drive gear you have. . Bob, been doing a little more research, have gotten a few more suggestions about adjusting my governor. Have u taken it out before? If so will anything spring out and screw anything up? Seems there is weights and springs to counter act to give a soone or later 3rd gear shift. I think I should give this a try, maybey got stuck valve or something, thought about cleaning w/brake cleaner. Is there any instruction manual to how to do this etc, thanks again, Dana

What would I do?
I'd order this book and read through it several times. Note in the header that there are 30 used copies of it starting at $9.00 plus shipping. Pretty much affordable to learn all about your transmission I'd say. I buy used books all the time to save a few sheckels.

Fresh trans or an older trans ?

Where is vacuum source for modulator hooked up?

Does reverse work correctly? NO slipping in "R" ?
