T-350 - Valve Body Gaskets/Plate. TransGo Shift Kit

Hey all.

Getting ready to put the valve body on.

But got some weird stuff.

I bought a TransGo Shift Kit also, but have some issues with the whole thing.

Here is my old plate. It has a small sub plate spot welded to it, and a channel that connects 2 other things.
Was thinking this might be from a TransGo Tuning kit?:

It has a bulge in the area shown here. As if some huge pressure caused it?

The TransGo plate doesn't have that sub plate deal with the slot on it.
Also the gasket spans 2 channels in one spot.

Could use some help/suggestions as to what to use/do

z

Called TransGo.

They said my old plate was from a 1-2 TransGo Kit.

They also said the bulge was from running with a plugged filter for a long time and it actually sucked the plate in to make the bulge and ruining that plate.

And last, the hole that spans 2 passages is designed that way. It feeds through the gasket.

I just installed a TransGo kit in a TH350 and mine came with the welded plate and springs for the valve body and governor. Worked great.

That bulge is from pressure pushing the metal down into the passage area not by suction.

That little passage created by the sandwiched plates... is for a dual feed to the direct clutch.

TransGo manufactured the plates of too thin of material at some point. It was pressure from the direct clutch in that channel plate. I've seen this plate bulge problem several times, TransGo explanation makes no sense

Common pressure in reverse is 170 - 190 psi , depending on trans valve body setup
