Hopefully, some of the regulars will chime in here. You prolly lost a band anchor pin or fried the lining. I can tell you, years ago I installed an ATI full manual
VB into a T-400 and the instructions called for the removal of some bands. I called them and was told the trans would have no engine braking in any gear. I could leave them in, but they would never be activated...
