If you ran it at WOT with low fluid level you nay have smoked the clutches and the band too.

Why are you operating this transmission with low fluid?
If your car is hurtin' ,,,needs repairs don;t beat on it.
Honestly, in a mad rush to get everything done, I simply forgot to top it up....stoopid rookie mistake......that being said, I do have a back up TH350 in my shed, and that will be my rebuild core over the winter. And it gets weirder, been driving it the last few days, and Fri night went out with some buddies to screw around a bit. Still runs fine, still shifts fine, and now has engine braking in 2 again....,so friggen weird....but really, I have maybe a couple weeks left till the snow I will run it as is, if it brakes, I will hook it home and pull it over the winter. 3500 b&m converter.....and you say a manual vb isn't a good idea? How come?
