T-350C trans whines in low gear
i have a th350 c trans that has been converted to a non lock up. with a 2200-2700 stall. An when i have it in low gear it makes a whining sound and it gets louder as i go faster:confused:
what's your question?
it sounds like tranny is going out.
first gear takes the most beating,
even doing burnouts with skinny tires.
the tranny does bad things when you
let off the gas, unless you pop it in neutral
near end of burnout.
even that's not a good thing.
have a nice day!
T 350 GMs allways had a sound in low. Kind of like a whining or ringing.
Its usually not loud, but you can hear it easily. The planetary gear set is responsible for this.
How loud is it?
X2^^, Low/Rear planetary is probably shot if it's that loud.
