T-400 check balls

hi iv got other posts dealing with my trans but wanted to start a new one just for this since i cant realy find alot of info on it. im about to drop the v.b.on my 79 cad th400 and im sure the check balls will go rolling all over the floor. is there any way of knowing where they go and is there anything else i should know about. also i have this 79 cad th400 behind the origanal cad 425 in a 86 c10. im gunna b buying new gov, mod, k.d. solinoid form our local car quest, are all the parts the same or should i change them to better suit the much lighter vehicle?

heres a link that has a picture of where the checkballs go. your parts should be fine get an adjustable modulator, you may have to modify your govoner to suit your driving style, not hard install it the way it is and check it.

check balls go in the same place in STOCK unit.

ok thanks for clearing that up crosley and thanks for the link 6 but the pic in the link wont load. im sure its the same as in the wiki artical tho. i was able to make it into town today and order parts. fluid, filter, and pan kit in stock. BUT, solinoid coming in sat and gota wait till wed for the modulator. couldent get the gov at all. got a autozone and o'rileys bout 45 min away, dose anyone know if i can get one threw them?
