T-400 shift problems after Superior brand valve body kit install
Hey guys, I installed a Superior shift kit yesterday and now it will not manually shift to 2nd. The only thing that I didnt do was change the spring in the pressure regulator. I dint have a set of snap ring pliers that would fit in the snap ring and I was trying to get it ready for the track. If you put it in drive, it shifts fine. With the kit I had the option to change the governor springs but didnt mess with it cause I am only racing this car. Any advice? I hate to drop the pan again, but guess thats about all I can do.

Not sure, its actually a 3l80 HD with 6 check balls. The kit is supposed to work with all TH400's 3l80's with 6 or 7 check balls. It is very possible that one of the balls fell out as I was putting in the separator plate. I am going to drop the pan this weekend and check it out. Im going to install a drain kit in it this time so I can save the oil if I have to go through this again.
