T-5 Metric?

Our local pick-n-pull is selling at 1/2 price this weekend. I went out today and spotted a T-5 in a '92 Firebird. Although I believe it has an electronic speedo, I think it will work in my '53 Belair project behind a 261 straight six. Just to make sure- this is all metric right? I've loaded up metric tools, but do not plan to take anything else because of, well, I just don't think I need anything else. Am I correct? Thanks!

I believe that you are correct. (And though I prefer American bolts... I carry my Metric swivels everywhere) But yeah, that's a pretty quick R&R if I remember. You gonna take a 3/8 ratchet and just go to town or what? If so, might as well bring a 3/8 -> 3/4(maybe 13/16) set of sockets. Just in case... Have fun!

Well I got cold feet and loaded up my tool box before going. Turned out to be all metric. Got everthing apart down to the last bolt (it's always like this right?) Could not get it out. Befor I had rounded the bolt head off completly (was using a 16 point 15mm, I left and went to a parts store a bought an eight point. I got back to the salvage yard and luck was with me, no one had taken over my spot. With the 8 point and a cheater bar the bolt came out, I got the tranny and was home by noon!
