Question T-5 tranny

Am thinking of using a 5-speed in my nest project and was wondering if the T-5 is any good. There seem to be a lot of them available, and that usually isn't a good sign!! How do they hold up under "semi-hostile" conditions??? It will be a lightweight car, fiberglass track-t or similar, with a 302 SBC. Am looking for 350 or so hp. Will it hold up????
THANKS FOR YOUR OPINIONS!!!

They hold up really good (world class) I don't know how to tell the difference right off the top of my head, but I do remember the #s on the tag will tell you. Maybe you can post that question I'll bet there's someone that can tell you more than one way to identify one.
