T-Bucket Seats

My T-Bucket has a console that runs between the two seats, bottom and back. I made plywood frames to fit the spaces. Since T-Buckets have such a harsh ride, I'm looking for as much comfort as possible for my old bones. I've had it suggested that 2 types of foam be used, firmer on the bottom for support and softer on the top to sink into. Does this make sense and any idea of what foam numbers I should use?
Also, should I use webbing in the middle or flat springs? Any suggestion on make or type?
I'm hoping the seats will provide enough comfort to tolerate some long cruises. Any help would be appreciated.
