There used to be companies that used to do this with new Camaros etc, when the car companies wern't making convertibles. It is a major undertaking, not for an amateur......

True, but its not impossible to get around...
![]() I drove this car for several months like this until I pulled the motor to swap in a 406...which ended up in my two door, now there is a 327 waiting on this particular one at the moment. My advice is to own a welder and know how to use it or have a friend who can. |

Good looking 55...............cutting the top off one of those is a liitle different than a Camaro. Much more solid frame under a 55.............

Maybe some kind of X bracing across the back of the back seats and a support piece run from a sub frame up to the 'top' of the b pillar? I know having the unibody is a bit tougher to work with than a frame, but my only concern would be an shimmies coming from the middle of the car forward. I don't recall what those cars look like under the dash and how that relates to the firewall and what not.
