T56 reverse lock-out solution.
I finally found a good solution to the reverse lock-out solenoid.
For those with a VSS that is. It is relatively new and not widely known about yet. I ordered one this morning: VSS/OSS Reverse Lockout Unit I have mine hooked up to the brake switch now and don't think that is the best way of doing it. Not only does it kick the solenoid every time you hit the brakes, it is still possible for the shifter to go to the right when braking and downshifting from 6th to 5th. I never thought the latter would be a problem but after driving my car some, I see where you could do it if you weren't paying close attention to the way you have your hand on the shifter and pushing when doing that shift. This thing is just a better way to go. |
