Are these two different companies or just spelling errors?I see from other posts, Allan has a Tachsew T111-155.Is this a Compound walking foot model, and is that needed? On E-Bay, there are Techsews from Montreal,but the model numbers don't look like Tachsew's.He also has a used Pfaff 142-2 needle machine.Would that be something to consider? Thanks, Jim

Im not sure if they are the same but i have a Tacsew T111-155 and it says made in China.

Yes, they are two different companies. The other company is Techsew. Alan has a Tacsew, not Tachsew, or Techsew. It is a compound walking foot machine which is a copy of the Singer 111W. Most sewing machines are either drop feed which incorporates feed dogs, needle feed which feeds with the needle moving perpendicular to its normal travel, or a combination of both of those which is called compound feed. Do you need compound feed? Most industrial machines have this feature to be able to handle heavy duty sewing. It is an advantage, but not an absolute necessity depending on if you're doing light or heavy sewing.

The Pfaff is a 2 needle machine? You would never have a use for that outside of a factory setting to do one specific job, and that job only. If you can find a Pfaff 1245, that would be the one you'd want. It's a great machine, but expensive.
