it is very easy, start taking the dented 1 apart and take pics, put new gate togther using parts and pics. if there is an access door on the inside, it makes it very easy.

If it was a Ford...
I'd tell ya to drill out the rivets and order replacement rivets and go to town disassembling the old tail gate. Take pictures if it will help you remember what went where. Any adjustments should be on the body so you should be good to just reassemble it and install it.
