tailgate replacement help needed
so theres a huge dent in the tailgate of my 95 dakota and ive found a new tailgate for it but theres no handle or latches or hardware inside so I would have to use the stuff from the old one. how hard is transferring and install ing all that to a new tailgate?

it is very easy, start taking the dented 1 apart and take pics, put new gate togther using parts and pics. if there is an access door on the inside, it makes it very easy.

If it was a Ford...
I'd tell ya to drill out the rivets and order replacement rivets and go to town disassembling the old tail gate. Take pictures if it will help you remember what went where. Any adjustments should be on the body so you should be good to just reassemble it and install it.
