I would like to see some numbers for his design. Those are big for the boat guys doing model gas boats.
The last bit of those I saw were all talk. There was some shmuckatoid who bet his scale V-8 powered hydro could handle any production two stroke...needless to say he lost. It's so unfortunate that these things aren't more efficient because so much work and design goes into them. The two stroke that beat him was a simple Quickdraw, which at 25cc (single cylinder mind you), produces 6.5 peak hp at 15k rpm. Determining factor of course, was its weight - 3.6# This is running regular grade pump gas, to boot!

Impressive....
Seen them before though, tim allen has a few. Brought it on 'Home Impovement' a long time ago. 1/8th scale I believe. But very Impressive none the less.

ya i remember the one tim allen had on home improvement. this guy doesnt have any numbers on his site but he has pictures of the raw cast parts, and of how he makes the cam, crank, heads etc. he has both the flathead and the blown v8's. the blowers are a copy of a roots blower. hes build a mini 31 willis to put a blown engine in.
i emailed him and asked him how long they last, how much power they produce and how much they are and this was his responce: i got one with around 25 hours on it and it still runs strong, produces 21 hp 73 ft lb.s of torque from 6.3 cu in , they have water and oil pumps. casting set is around $1000.00 ken hurst its got some pretty good power numbers for a home made engine and for only 6.3 cu in!

Now if he just made a Rolls Royce Merlin V12. I can see it now, a quarter scale R/C Spitfire Mark 21. Man would that sound sweet on a low fly-by.
