Talk about an understanding wife

There was a couple of posts about understanding wifes, well mine floored me last nite.
Two days ago I got to order a Hobart 135 wire welder after talking it over with the wife and explaining why I needed it. Well last nite we had to go to Home Depot to pick up a couple of things. Stopped by the compressors and looked at the 7 hp 60 gal compressor that I've wanted for a while now, went and picked up the hose, hose cart and plastic we needed and just joking I said "OK, lets go get that compressor and go home". The next words I hear are "OK, I know how much you need it to finish painting the truck". Oh my god call the EMTs I'm having a heart attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But guess whats in my shop right now and the welder is on the way too! I love that lady allot!!!!!!!!!!!! She's a keeper!!!!

Thumbs up

That's the problem with most women/wives. They don't understand that if they just let their man buy the car/cars he wants, and the parts and tools he needs, they'll never have to wonder where he is. All they'll have to do is look out in the garage.

I guess it takes a little "maturity" for most of them to realize that fact. (No offense BBB)

Not only did mine agree the '64 Big Block Polara was a good investment she suggested we go ahead and buy a new car hauler 6 months before we had planned just to save the bucks it would cost to rent one to bring the Dodge back from Alabama.

Mature women, gotta love'em.

When it comes to spending $$$ on the car, my girlfriend would rather see a ring on her finger, so I have to cut off the car fund for a few months to save up for the 'significant purchase'. That's not the only reason I'm doing it, she really deserves it and it's about that time to pop the question anyway. Any ideas on how I should ask? I got about 3 months.

Other than that, she paints for a hobby, while I'm in the garage with mine. She always gets done first though and comes out to help me clean up.

I'm so glad I passed out in HER lap at the concert.
(that's how we met)

Here's what my son did. He and his fiancee are avid NASCAR fans. Because he purchased a Dale Earnhardt memorial brick he was invited to travel to Charlotte and take a behind the scenes tour of Lowe's Motor Speedway, Hendrick Motor Sports and Dale Earnhardt Inc. After explaining what he wanted to do, the tour operator arranged to stop the bus during the tour where a lucky couple would be "chosen" to have their picture taken on the track at the start/finish line. While they were posing for the picture he got down on one knee and proposed. The neat thing was that everyone on the tour knew this was going to happen except his girl friend. Wish I could have been there to see that.

That's great Dave... It's things like that that make you appreciate what you have (wife... not tools).
My wife's philosophy is "Give a little... Get a lot"... And it works most of the time.

Knock me over with a feather: Part 39879

We just picked upa 71 Nova. Mint. Needs a dash. Justdashes.com offers a color match concours unit for $410.00 or a black cap for about $50.00. She went nuts when I mentioned the $50.00 unit saying not to be a cheapskate, get the right one ! "And do something about those wheels and tires while your at it ! They're ugly!" God, I love her !

i got this sneakin' suspicion, that there ain't a hole lot of work going on at the Greasewhore House.......

i have a keeper too...... after dropping the new motor in with the old tranny, she told me i might as well get a new tranny to back it up. " there's no reason to put that motor in your truck if your transmission won't take it." <----- words that came out of her mouth.........

Lately, all I've heard is . . . .

Is it done yet?
No hun, I have to put the fuel cell in.
Then can we go for a ride?
No, I'm putting in new floorboards before I run the fuel lines.
Why haven't you done that yet?
Because the transmission shop still has my car.
When are you going to get it back?
They told me they'd be finished as soon as you leave me alone.
