Tank Manifold
The tank manifold on the compressor I'm buying goes 3/4 NPT at the tank to 1/2 on the outlet. It houses the pressure gauge and pressure safety pin. Am I being OCD by obsessing over the reduction? My 40' of expensive copper pipe is 3/4 inch....

its ok, that way the air will slow down in the piping and help it cool down
i've always made the piping around my separator bigger than the rest of the system :D |
Thanks. I ended up coming out at 1/2" from the manifold and quickly going through a reducer (reversed) to 3/4". By doing that I have my ball valve shutoff, union and flex pipe at 3/4". If I switch to full 3/4" outlet manifold later I only have to replace that short 1/2" segment.
