I know you can't go too much over stock. As long as you stay under 220 duration and 112 LSA or higher you should be ok. If you pick a dual pattern camshaft keep the split small. I would use something like this. Crane Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshafts 113931 - SummitRacing.com or Isky Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshafts 201262-27012 - SummitRacing.com

Some TBI/cam info: TBI CHIPS TRUCK MODS

Unless cost is a factor, rechipping the ECM is no biggie.

If you have stock heads you cant use a very high lift cam most will need machine work at more than .450 lift.

Usally most cam manufactures have cams that they know will work with stock ecu. I know comp has a cam for stock ecu's.

What casting number heads do you have. I am not sure of all the lift specs but i dont think the 470 lift cam will work. I know its too large for the corvette alum. Tpi heads. Not sure about all the cast heads out there. Your probably going to need springs as well with that cam.

Edit just loked it up 470 is the max for many performance heads but 450 is the max lift most springs can handle at lower rpms. High rpms will need springs sooner.
