It's the same as converting a 350. I don't know why you would think it's any different? The crank's throw is irrelevant to the installation and the tuning will not be that drastically different. Make sure you have a good handle on tuning though, it makes all the difference.

serious problem

Did I DO SOMETHING WRONG? I have finished my TBI conversion, but my engine was running smooth before, but I have a serious noise coming from what I believe is in the front such as a cam knock. I had a knock that could be heard soft and then hard. I had forgotten to take my fuel pump rod out and started the engine a few times thinking the knock was detonating. But
after I took the pump and rod out I still have the knock, only now it is constant and sounds in the front like cam area. I can put my hand on the thermostat housing and feel the knock. Did I screw something up by not taking out pump rod out before starting up after I put on TBI setup? I have already taken off my intake manifold to see anything odd there, but all looks
ok such as push rods and lifters. Hope someone can help. Thanks

Did you remove the fuel pump but leave the push rod in place and did you secure the push rod with a bolt from the frint of the engine as would be typically done when the fuel pump is removed?

2 plugs? its not good for any of them to look different from the rest. Likely an indicator that you're burning oil.
