TBI rev limiter

I race(oval track) a 1993 S-10p/u with a 4.3l TBI/automatic/3.42rear......
At tracks with longer straightaways the rev limiter cuts out the ignition and injector pulses..................
Is there anything out there, reprogrammed prom, ECM, etc., that will get rid of or raise the rev limiter to a higher rpm...................
Thanks .................UNCLE PETEY

I used a hypertech power programmer to change the rev limiter and speed governer on my 2002 chevy pickup.

If your s10 has an OBDII port there should be plenty of options

The rev limiter is usually trigered by the TPS at wide open throttle. Try modifing modifing that to give it more adjustment, so when you are at wide open throttle it will think you still have more throttle left. That could be as little as .010-.020. Keep in mind that will effect your idle, so try to keep it as close as you can without raising your idle speed too high.
