TC on T-350? Confused

Okay, I bought a Jegs brand TC 3000stall. I know this is a non-lockup device, jegs has even confirmed me on this. My Old tranny i took out of my car, I believe is a Lockup TH-350. For starters it has a square connector with wires coming out of it, and second i can not get my TC seated.

I just bought another TH 350 that the guy told me is a non lockup tranny. It does not have the square wiring thing on it. Well i get this home, and i still can not seat my new jegs TC.

On the other hand, my old TC from the lockup th350. Will fit on my new.

My questions are. Is it possible my new trans is a lockup model without having the square wiring harness on it?

Will a lockup TC fit on a non Lockup Th350?

Is a new performance TC harder to get seated then an older OEM style?

Maybe jegs sent me the wrong part as well

Thank you for all help!

A THM 350 "C" I believe, has a different input shaft for the lockup converter. I do not think the converters will interchange. I know a standard 350 converter will not fit a 350C, but I'm not sure if a 350C converter will fit a 350, I would think not.

Chances are it's because the hub on the new TC is new and will be a tight fit the first few times it's taken off and on. Be patient and keep working at it and I'll bet you'll get it. But to be sure, you can check to see if the hub diameter is 1.872" to 1.875", and/or compare the new hub measurements to the old one.

To tell a TH350C (lockup) transmission from a non lockup TH350, the input of the TH350C looks like the one shown below:

A NON lockup input looks like:
