TCI Turbo 350 issues

Ok I've got a 76 K5 Blazer(2wd) with a built 350(300+Hp and 340 FPT) with a TCI turbo 350 street-fighter Trans. I helped a friend install a cam and lifter set in his 53 Chevy truck. He pulled it to install a 700R4 Trans. He gave me the trans for helping him. It had about 500 miles when he pulled it. He bought it new for his truck. It had a 2500 Hughes stall converter, I did replaced it with a 1500 boss hoss stall converter and put all new seals in it(front, rear and trans pan). It has been fine for few weeks then the other day when I got in it to go somewhere it wouldn't move. I checked the fluid level and made sure that the modulator hose had not come off. Both were good. I moved the shift lever thru all the gears and still nothing, then all of a sudden it worked fine. I drove it with no more issues for a few days. Then yesterday while driving it every time I stopped somewhere and shut it off when I would try and take off it would not move. I held the brake and rev'd the engine to see if it would engage and nothing. Then all of a sudden it would just work. When this happens there is no change in RPM's when I put it into any gear. When it is working it shifts fine and acts like nothing is wrong. This morning it worked fine when I needed to move it. What do I need to look at or check? I searched the forum and found a few things to look at, but nothing exactly like what I'm experiencing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

James

this is the th350 doing this? i have one doing the same thing. it isnt the governor, cant be the manual valve or it would do it all the time and not fix itself. i would do a line pressure check to verify the pump is working within spec. if not i'd be looking at a leaking forward drum piston seal. it sounds almost as if the pressure on the clutch has to come up before it'll move. like i said i have one doing the same thing .lemme know what you find out.
