tear down?
Im taking my fenders off my truck to clean up the underside and the inner fenders the problem im having is taking the bolts off. I have one side held on by carriage bolts but they don't fit right in the holes and spin when you try to lossen them. I could try to cut them off or grind them off but i dont think it will be that easy. Every thing is pretty rusty and in some areas there is a build up of crude, not sure what it is, it looks like harden tar and mud and stuff like that. I chiped some off but some wont come off so i tryed a grinder and it seems to work but if i grind in the areas i need to, around the bolts, i wont be able to use a wrench and then ill have to find a way to remove the bolt. Any ideas would be great.

If you need to remove a carriage bolt that spins in the hole,if it is accessible ,clean the head and weld a nut to it.I had to do this to some bolts holding the bed on on an old Ford truck. It worked great. Hope this helps.
