tech video opinions?

I'm still thinking of rebuilding the Dana 44 rear end myself, in my '64 gmc truck, against the opinion of nearly everybody in the world. who knows why, but mabye its because I'm just a bit crazy and 'cause i don't want somebody else to have all the fun. Besides, if I'm going to spend all this money on it, it might as well go into buying some tools...

right?....

but i don't want to do it blind.

so... I'm reading stuff from randy's ring and pinion, other stuff, and I found this link on the web.

Anybody seen this company's tech videos? any opinions?

http://www.technicalvideos.com/differentialvideos.htm

In the meantime, I'll still try to find a good mechanic.... just for fun....

thanks....

I have used these videos to rebuild C4's, C6's and AOD trannies and they are excellent. I recommend them highly. You are on the right track, go for it, but beware you are about to enter into a club of only about 5% of hotrodders that do their own diff's. But I'll tell you what, it's cool when someone asks you who did it and you can calmly say "I did" as if to say "doesn't everybody?" Good luck.
