Techinspector 1 BBC Tall deck formula??.

Techinspector 1 once made a comment to me about him having a formula for a tall deck BBC.What is it and how about headers for my gbody 79 Malibu race only??.

Gee-I hope Richard sees this and is willing to share.Not a call out buddy,just a honest question where I know of one clean deal on a bare block.Might just buy it to have it in the shop.Depends on what Tech says.

Higher race gas SCR-different solid roller cam??. Higher peck hp RPM??.Iron Duke heads,or Merlin cast iron's.Like a peck around 7 grand with better rods??.

You can build it any way you wish. I was just trying to make a streetable 505 that would make good power on pump gas.

Gary, you have to be careful with aftermarket heads also. We mocked up my buddies sons G body with 781 heads. He went and bought some aftermarket alum heads with raised exhaust ports and we had to move two header tubes for them to clear.

Certainly understand that.Real question is at what point does the tall deck for race application become more expensive than a 496??.
The car with a tall deck might 60' like crazy,but not cut it in MPH.
