trucks are heavy and 350s are not that big,,,experience helps when tuning.
I bought a 1980 Camaro off a younger fella,right parts,LS-5 454,headers,car weighed 3915,his best times were high 13s.
Cost me 3k to run 11s,just fixing his mistakes and upgrades
