Temp Sender specs of identification

While trying to trouble shoot "gauge pegged" (problem mentioned in a earlier posting) the connection post broke off the temp gauge installed in the manifold. I should have been easy to get a new sensor but I'm finding it difficult as the manufacturer of the part seemingly does not like to answer phones, emails, has limited business hours (leave a message we'll call you back???? or has only one phone line (busy signals). My dealer even told me he has not been able to place orders as they won't call him back either so he will no longer sell the product.
Temp sensor says V5 and 05/08, threads are 1/2inch NPT, screw on terminal.
Help please!

What is the brand name or model of the dashboard end of this - the gauge itself?
