Temp sending unit

I have a SBC 350 and I was going to put the water temp sending unit in the Afco rad I got, it has a open port at the bottom, I have the Spal 185f, is this OK or should I be in the head/motor?

Regards,

Steve

I'd put it in the drivers side head, like Chevy does.
Ron

I installed one for another person once. It had a probe that went into the
radiator core I think. Anywhere it gets the temp fairly correct I imagine.
