temporary paint

http://www.duplicolor.com/products/carart.html

anybody use this stuff ? i want to add some strips, or something, on my truck. but i don't know what i want. so i figured i could use this stuff for some simple, easy, fast strips. just to get an idea of how something would look.

Wow, that's kind of cool stuff.
"Want to add flames to your car for the weekend. Or maybe you’re heading to a “big game” and want to show your support."
They should add...
"Or maybe you want to change the color of your car after that bank heist. Just pull into a car wash and power wash your temporary yellow car back to it's original blue."

Seriously, I'd try that for what you are thinking. Why not?

Larry

my truck is black. and while it looks great, it is very stealthy. it want it to have some flash.

i understand that if you put a good coat of wax over the temp paint, it will last all summer = on my never in the rain, truck.

update

i tried it today, well, tested it. the quality, compared to regular paint, is TERRIBLE. the spray pattern is crap. it likes to run. it is flat = NO gloss. on black paint, the blue color was better than what was on the cap. overspray does not dry, least not 8 hrs later. the purpose spray does dry, but is very fragil. this stuff seems to be of some kind of oil based coating. it feels very oily between the fingers, and when smugging. its like vegetable oil, till it dries. it says on the can, not to leave it on for more than 3 days.

summery. this would be a "down & dirty" way of getting a GOOD idea of how strips/whatever would look on your ride, without real paint. but don't expect much more than getting a visual idea.

it would be good for the soccer mom/sports fan/whatever that wants to make a 1-2 day statement.

I've used the little sticks for marking windows before that washes off with soap and water, that they sell in walmart, but never tried that duplicolor stuff. I actually seen some temporary paint a few years ago and posted about it on here, but as far as I know no one has used it. I just thought it looked kinda interesting for say someone that wants to advertise for some advent, but doesn't want it permenant. FrankR even went as far as asking the company more about the product and posted responses to the questions he asked.
Anyways, here is the old thread.
This is interesting. Temporary peel off paint.

As far as stripes and flames, there is enough to be found with a search. One of my favorites is http://www.customflamepainting.com/ because of all the different styles of flames they have posted, but it is pretty much all motorcycles.
