TH-200C Kickdown?

Its a 3 speed auto TH-200C transmission in my camaro.. I don't have my kickdown cable mounting bracket made yet.. But would it hurt it to drive it without the cable hooked up in the time being? Just as long as I manually shift. I know the cable controls the shift points and all but wasn't sure if it'd burn up the transmission without it hooked up..

It is not a kick down cable.... it is a TV cable . TV = throttle valve

it must hooked up and adjusted correctly to avoid burning the tranny up

I thought the Th-200 4R and the TH700R4 were TV cables and the 200, 350, and 400 were kick down cables..

that shows you have incorrect information.

The 350 is the only unit with a detent cable that if unhooked the tranny will not burn up. The t-400 does not have a cable. These two trannys have a vacuum modulator on them
