Post TH 350 to 200R4

How hard is it convert a 76 Monte Carlo from a TH 350 trans to a 200R4 ? The car has a 425 HP 383 Chevy Stroker. Also, what about Lockup Vs Non lockup Converters for the 200R4 Trans ? Thanks

Joe

the Transmission is the same length, uses the same yoke and driveshaft. however you will need to move you crossmember back a couple of inches. It will need to be rebuilt with heavy duty internals. I think the GN buicks were a little be more heavy duty. they came stock behind a lot of V8 in the mid 80's.
