TH-350 or 400 for 322 nailhead.
the car is going to be used as a cruiser with the occasional pedal mash, just curious as to peoples opinions on either of these trannies.

Adapters: http://www.transmissionadapters.com/53-66_nailhead.htm
Expect these to run ~$800. The real challenge however, is that the original transmission is part of a closed driveline/torque tube. Adapting a later transmission will necessitate switching to a later model open driveline. This has been done a number of times, but it is not a trivial undertaking. Cheers, JMC |
