TH 350 detent cable adjustment
My 81 camaro has a TH 350 with a transplanted 350. My Chilton's manual states that for this year Camaro, the detent adjusts automatically, however, do I still have to preset the detent itself by inserting that .092 pin and somehow presetting it, then pull the pin out and flip the throttle wide open and thats it? I'm not a tranny guy, so any help is greatly appreciated. Bill

You should be able to depress the reset on the back of the detent cable. Climb in your vehicle and depress the throttle and your done.
