Th-350 pump reassembly - position of gears and pump halves?

I tore apart my th350 for a rebuild, but I guess I got ahead of myself and didn't mark the position of the pump gears for reassembly. What do I do now? How should I install them?

Also I need to align the two halves when assembling according to my book, which says to put pump in backwords in the case. Im still confused on what or how to do this? can someone help me here?

Thanks

Assemble gears with "dots" on gear faces towards you. There is no "timing" reference for the gears. The dots refer to gear placement in the pocket.
Be sure to aling th epump passages before tightening the halves. Check the bolt holes to be sure they are all aligned. Using the case bore to center the pump halves is a good idea if you do not have a pump band.
